  I have been to Mackay Harrison Galleries many times. I seriously think it is one of the best galleries I have ever visited. I have never seen so many beautiful artworks in so many different mediums in a relatively compact space. David's sculptures of the human form are truly beautiful and are cast in bronze at his own foundry in East Ballina - where he can personally assure the quality of the finished artwork. David is both a talented sculptor and a portrait and landscape artist. He specialises in sculptures of nude women and they look stunning! Words fail me! Most recently David has been sculpting artworks featuring nude males as well as nude couples. There really is something for everyone. You will also find fabulous paintings of different genres - as well as glass art, ceramics, woodwork etc. all hand selected by David for display in his gallery. Another particular favourite artist of mine is Tony Duarte - whose intimate studies of women are beautifully executed and featured throughout the gallery. The gallery has a couple of courtyard gardens where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or tea while you ponder which piece of artwork you will take home to feature in your study, your garden, or adorn your walls! Opening hours for the Mackay Harrison Galleries are Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Ring ahead if in doubt. Put the Mackay Harrison Galleries on your "must do" list if you are visiting the area! You wont be disappointed!

  We had some time to kill while waiting for the bus. I'm glad we are able to spend the time in this lovely gallery. It is small but impressive. The work is exceptional and the coffee's good too. Worth a visit.
